A tremendous festival "Days of Jewish Culture" was held in Kharkov (Ukraine) on October 13-23, 2016. This event was organized by the Jewish Culture Center of Kharkiv with the support of American Jewish Distribution Committee "Joint".

The organizers prepared a very rich program, which included the concerts of "Kharkov Klezmer Tag", celebration of Sukkot, exhibition "Wall paintings of synagogues", excursions and many other.

WJC Yiddish center was represented by its academical director, Dr. Mordechay Yushkovsky, who gave the lectures "What has Yiddish to say in the XXI century?" and "Secrets of Yiddish Humour", by the leader of Moscow klezmer band "Klezmasters" Lev Sandiuk, and be the Israeli singer Marina Yakubovich. They also gave a lecture-concert of famous Yiddish songs; their performance was accepted very warmly.
