On September 8, 2016, in our Vilnius office the academical director of the Yiddish Center at the World Jewish Congress, Dr. Mordehay Yushkovsky, delivered a lecture "What Yiddish has to say in the XXI century" to 43 IDF (Israeli Defence Force) officers. They visited the Lithuanian capital in the framework of the educational project „Mahut", as a part of our cooperation with the IDF education department, Hebrew University in Jerusalem and foundation „Genesis".

We have done a very hard preparatory work, we had doubts about the reaction to our suggested topic, but the result exceeded all our expectations. The audience accepted the lecture very positively, seriously and emotionally. This event is supposed to be the beginning of our long-term cooperation with the educational department of the IDF.
