On August 3, 2018 a young, talented Yiddish lecturer, researcher and translator Dr. Natalia Ryndiuk suddenly died in Kiev.
She served as a Yiddish teacher and coordinator of the Certification Program in Jewish Studies & scientific officer at the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy".
Natalia frequently took an active part in conducting seminars and other events on Yiddish language and literature, held by the International Yiddish Center of the World Jewish Congress.
This week, Dr. Ryndiuk was going to present her paper at the International Conference on the Yiddish language and Culture, to be held in Czernowitz (Chernivtsi) between August 6 and 10. But her plan could not be put into effect.
