March 25 marked the 85th anniversary of founding YIVO (Yiddish Scientific Institute). This institution was established in Wilno (now Vilnius, Lithuania)
From February 17-20, a prominent scholar, WJC YC academic director Dr. Mordechay Yushkovsky conducted a course "Yiddish: literature, history, and memory."
Between October 15 and December 17, a Yiddish language course at the lower intermediate level was held in Vilnius Jewish Public Library. It was initiated by WJC YC and the Library
Between October 10, 2019 – January 22, 2020 a Yiddish course for beginners, jointly organized by the WJC Yiddish Center and Vilnius Jewish Public Library, took place at the library premises
On November 17-18, a WJC YC representative Dr. Leonid Roitman delivered two lectures at the 10th "Global Education Days" at JCC "KEDEM" in Chișinău (Kishinev)
